Shelly grew up on a ranch south of Lusk, Wyoming, where she developed a lifelong appreciation for agriculture. Alongside her twin sister, who has always challenged her to work harder, dream bigger, and bring out her competitive spirit. Shelly was active in sports and 4-H, competing in horse events and raising a market steer each year. That friendly sibling rivalry helped shape the determination and work ethic she still carries with her today.
After discovering a passion for motorcycles in college, Shelly spent nearly 20 years as a Parts Unlimited representative, serving motorcycle dealerships throughout Colorado, Wyoming, Nebraska, and South Dakota. In 2010, she began her career in crop insurance by joining Agri-Risk Solutions, where she has been helping farmers and ranchers protect their operations ever since. She is committed to staying current on crop insurance and USDA farm programs to provide clients with the best possible risk management solutions and is a proud member of the Crop Insurance Professionals Association (ClPA).
Shelly and her husband, Tim, live in Rapid City, South Dakota. Their daughter, Sara, attends Iowa State University, where she is studying Accounting. Outside of work, Shelly enjoys riding motorcycles, hiking, and spending time outdoors. And while the years have passed, she and her twin sister still enjoy pushing each other to be their best.
Shelly considers it a privilege to work with farmers and ranchers and takes pride in earning their trust through honest advice, personalized service, and a genuine commitment to their success. Jeana Harms grew up on a ranch south of Lusk, Wyoming, alongside her twin sister, where she developed a deep appreciation for agriculture and the values of hard work and service. After earning her Bachelor's degree in Accounting in 1992, she began her career working for a local accounting firm before transitioning into agriculture.
In 1998, Jeana entered the crop insurance industry with Farm Credit, where she spent 15 years serving agricultural producers through both crop insurance and agricultural lending. This unique combination of experience gave her a well-rounded understanding of the financial and risk management challenges producers face every day.
After her children graduated from high school, Jeana embraced a new opportunity by dedicating her career entirely to crop insurance. She remains passionate about helping farmers and ranchers protect their operations and achieve their long-term goals through knowledgeable guidance and personalized service. One of the most rewarding parts of her career is helping young and beginning farmers establish a strong foundation, navigate the challenges of agriculture, and build successful operations for the future.
Jeana is especially proud of her two grown children. Her daughter lives in Denver, Colorado, where she owns and operates her own business, and her son lives in Laramie, Wyoming, where he is pursuing his counseling degree.

Chris grew up in Wyoming, where he was raised on a farm and ranch and developed a lifelong passion for agriculture. After graduating from Burns High School, he attended Casper College, where he competed on the livestock judging team while earning his Associate's degree. He then continued his education at Colorado State University, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business.
Chris spent more than 12 years with 21st Century Equipment, helping producers throughout Nebraska, Colorado, and Wyoming implement precision agriculture technology. Precision agriculture isn't just his profession, it's his passion. He thrives on helping producers harness technology to improve efficiency, make data-driven decisions, and maximize the potential of every acre.
His extensive knowledge of precision farming, combined with his commitment to serving producers, makes him a valuable resource for customers looking to integrate technology into their operations. Chris believes the best solutions come from understanding each producer's unique operation and providing practical recommendations that help them achieve their goals while positioning their farms for long-term success.
Chris and his wife, Sarah, reside in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, with their two greatest blessings, Graceon and Cambrie. Outside of work, Chris is deeply committed to his community. He serves on the local airport board, coaches his children's sports teams, and enjoys giving back through community involvement. Whether he's working with the latest precision technology, volunteering in his community, or meeting with producers in the field, Chris is dedicated to serving others with integrity, building lasting relationships, and helping customers succeed.

Katie Christensen joined Agri-Risk Solutions in 2026, bringing with her a lifetime of agricultural experience and a passion for serving the producers who keep rural America thriving. A born and-raised South Dakotan, Katie grew up on a small family farm where they raised cattle, sheep, poultry, and horses, giving her a strong foundation in agriculture from an early age.
Her interest in crop production began in high school while working for a local cooperative, where she gained hands-on experience in everything from office operations to field prescriptions. Katie later built a successful career with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), serving as both a Soil Conservationist and, most recently, an Area Agronomist for western South Dakota. Her broad knowledge of agronomy, conservation, and production agriculture provides a valuable perspective as she helps producers manage risk and protect their operations.
Katie and her husband, Russ, live on their family's ranch near Edgemont, South Dakota, with their son, Trace. She enjoys helping with the day-to-day work on the ranch, giving her firsthand experience with the challenges and opportunities today's agricultural producers face. Katie is excited to put that real-world knowledge to work for her customers, providing practical risk management solutions and personalized service that help protect their operations. As the newest member of the Agri-Risk Solutions team, Jacie Knutson brings enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a passion for agriculture. She is excited to begin her career helping farmers and ranchers protect the operations they've worked so hard to build.
Jacie earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Agribusiness & Commodity Marketing from Lake Area Technical College, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA. Growing up in the Black Hills of South Dakota, she developed a deep appreciation for agriculture and rural communities. Her involvement in 4-H, Ag Club, and other leadership organizations sparked her interest in crop production, grain marketing, and agricultural risk management.
Through internships with Agwrx Cooperative and Dakota Mill & Grain, Jacie gained valuable hands-on experience in agronomy, grain marketing, futures, inventory management, and working alongside growers. These experiences gave her a well-rounded understanding of the challenges producers face and strengthened her commitment to serving agriculture.
Jacie lives in Hermosa, South Dakota, with her husband, Seth. Together, they enjoy being part of their local community, where Seth proudly serves on the Haywood Fire Department. Jacie is excited to continue learning and growing in the crop insurance industry while providing knowledgeable, dependable service to producers. She looks forward to helping customers make informed risk management decisions and contributing to the continued success of Agri-Risk Solutions.

Cameron grew up in Colorado’s San Luis Valley where he learned the values of hard work, discipline and sacrifice on his small alfalfa and livestock farm. In addition to the farm chores, Cameron spent his summers working in the certified potato seed fields identifying and removing diseased plants and tubers to ensure quality potato seed. Agriculture has been the basis of Cameron's family and community for generations. He currently resides in the same community in Southern Colorado with his wife Tiffany and children Brigston, Jude, and Benson.
Cameron's career in crop insurance began as a crop adjuster mainly working specialty crops—potatoes, malt barley, peaches and apples. After four years of adjusting, he became an agent that now specializes in the Whole-Farm Revenue Protection policy to help producers cover an array of non-traditional and specialty crops. His expertise in the product has taken him across Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, and Utah. In addition to the Whole-Farm Revenue Protection policy, he provides insurance coverage for an array of traditional and non-traditional crops and Pasture, Rangeland, Forage insurance.
Cameron is an outdoor recreationist by heart. His family enjoys backcountry hunting, fishing, camping, and pack tripping with their horses. Cameron earned a BA in Latin American Studies from Brigham Young University and an MBA Adam's State University. He fluently speaks Portuguese and Spanish, extending his service to Latino producers.

Travis was born and raised in North Dakota. He graduated New Town High School in 2000. After high school, Travis went to work full time for the Mountrail County Soil Conservation District, located in Stanley, ND. In 2009 he switched from the soil conservation district to working directly for the Natural Resource Conservation Service as a technician until May of 2013. Travis transitioned to retail agronomy and worked in two different locations, the second location made it possible for Travis and his wife to move to Pierre, SD. While in Pierre, Travis became interested in insurance, so he obtained his property/casualty, life/health, and crop licenses. During this time, Travis was also attending college online. He graduated on December 8th, 2018 with a B.S. degree in Management from Northern State University located in Aberdeen, SD. Travis’s wife, Maranda, is originally from Sturgis, SD, so it was always their goal to move to the Black Hills of South Dakota. Going to work for ARS gave them this opportunity and they jumped on it as fast as they could. Travis and Maranda currently reside in Rapid City, SD.
